It’s been a while since I’ve shared a fashion post, but reading, creating and living fashion has still been a big part of my life. Side note: Last December, I decided to step away from social media. While I haven’t been sharing much here, I’ve continued sewing, finding inspiration for new projects, and enjoying fashion in my everyday life.
Lately, I’ve felt excited to share again. Between the pieces I’m making, a few new everyday favorites, and three weddings in a row, there’s plenty to catch up on!
What I’ve Been Making
I’ve continued sewing, and my most recent projects have been so much fun. I made a linen one-shoulder short dress, as well as a matching two-piece set with a square-neck crop top and a pencil skirt.
There’s something so satisfying about having an idea for an outfit and bringing it to life. Sewing has made me appreciate all the little details that go into a piece of clothing, from the fabric to the fit.
And of course, I’m already thinking about what I want to make next! With the holidays coming up, I’ve been looking at 1950s patterns and dreaming about gowns I’d love to try. I also have a few jackets and coats on my list for winter. We’ll see how many I actually get to, but that’s part of the fun!
What I’m Wearing for Everyday Life
I have to admit that some of my recent style inspiration has come from my 12-year-old daughter! I’ve been loving matching sweatsuits from Edikted—so much so that I have them in four colors.
They’ve been perfect to throw on over my workout clothes when I’m heading to and from the baseball fields for my son’s activities or running around during the day. They’re comfortable and easy, and I still feel put together. Bonus: they have sales often!

A Reason to Dress Up Again
On the other end of the wardrobe spectrum, I’m gearing up for three weddings in a row! It had been a long time since I’d been to a wedding, and it’s been so much fun choosing beautiful gowns and getting dressed up again. They are all at different locals. The one I went to recently was in New York. The setting was absolutely gorgeous and the color of my dress complemented the foliage for sure.
For the most recent wedding, I wore a red deep-plunge gown from VICI. I don’t think it’s still available, but I’ll link a few similar options if you’re looking for a red gown for an upcoming event or holiday celebration.

What’s Coming Next
Between the holidays, wedding season, and all the projects on my sewing list, I have plenty of ideas I’m excited to share. You can expect more everyday outfits, holiday looks, sewing projects, and pieces that have caught my eye along the way.
I’m happy to be back here sharing it all with you!
